When times are tough, one of the first things people cut back on is donations to worthy causes. But with donatesomeback.com you can help raise money for charities and other great causes, just by buying everyday products and services!
We believe in four simple things:

How it works
We have pledged to donate 50% of the turnover of donatesomeback.com to charities and non-profit organisations. Every time you buy we donate up to £25.00 to the cause of your choice. It's an easy way to help, just by buying the things you needed anyway!
- Insurance: We have partnered with a leading UK insurance provider who work with household names including AXA, Allianz, Fortis, Provident, Aviva, Zurich, Legal & General, Chartis and RSA so you can be confident of a great price and excellent customer service.
- Home and office supplies: We have teamed up with Top UK Supplier, JG Fenns to offer more than 20,000 products for your home and office. Every item purchased can help a worthy cause.

Q. I can't see my chosen charity or non profit organisation on the website
A. No problem, we can take their details now and as long as you purchase a policy with us today, we will contact them to register and receive their donation.
Q. When will my charity or non profit organisation receive their donation?
A. Your chosen charity or non profit organisation will be sent their donation electronically around 1 month after you start your policy.
Q. Will my chosen charity or non profit organisation still get a donation if I buy other products from you or if I recommend family or friends to donatesomeback?
A. Yes! We will donate every time you buy car or home insurance and every time you use the home and office web store. The more you buy, the more you earn for your charity or non profit organisation!
Q. How will I know that my chosen charity or non profit organisation has received their donation from me?
A. If you have opted in to be contacted by your chosen charity or non profit organisation, they will be in touch once their donation has been received. However, if you have not agreed to be contacted we are unfortunately unable to guarantee that you will receive any correspondence from them regarding their donation.
Q. If I cancel my policy, will my chosen charity or non profit organisation still receive their donation?
A. If you cancel within the standard insurance industry regulatory 14 day cooling off period, your chosen charity or non profit organisation will unfortunately not receive their donation.
Q. Do you simply add the donation on to the quote?
A. Absolutely NOT! Our partners work with a panel of insurance companies who want to provide a competitive price. We are very simply giving away 50% of our commission to a maximum of £25.00 (even before any costs are taken) from these companies to the charity or non profit organisation of your choice.
Q. Do you give a donation on renewal?
A. Yes. The donation will be calculated in exactly the same way and sent to your chosen charity or non profit organisation upon renewal.
Q. Can I change my chosen charity or non profit organisation on renewal?
A. Yes. Simply call in and speak to one of our staff who will take the details of your new charity or non profit organisation and renew your policy at the same time.
Q. If I decide not to take out a policy with you, can I still make a donation to my chosen charity or non profit organisation?
A. Either email us info@donatesomeback.com or contact your chosen charity or non profit organisation directly.
Q. Who will provide my customer service support?
A. Fortis will provide all your customer care and support for car and home policies.
Q. Are you regulated by anybody?
A. Yes. donatesomeback are appointed representatives of Fortis Insurance Solutions who are fully regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
Q. Will you be offering any more products in the future
A. Yes Definitely! We want to help as many charities or non profit organisations in the UK as we can and so we will be looking to offer more products under the exact same principal in the future. Our current developments are in gas and electricity supply, mobile phones, home and office telephone and other insurance products. Please ask if you wish to be informed of any of these products in the future.
Q. Will the donation qualify for gift aid?
A. donatesomeback will be making the donation to your chosen charity or non profit organisation. As we are a business it unfortunately means that the donation will not qualify for gift aid.
Q. How will I know how much you will be donating to my chosen cause?
A. The amount we donate depends on your policy premium. When you receive your quote we will tell you exactly how much will be donated when you buy.
Q. What is a non profit organisation?
A. The non profit organisation sector is made up of a mix of organisations ranging from small local community groups to large national, multi branch organisations, some of which are direct service providers and some fundraisers and grant givers. However, they all have certain key features in common. They are value led and will have been established with the objective of addressing a social need, rather than simply to provide a service or generate revenue. As the name suggests, they are non profit making, or will reinvest revenue for the purpose of serving their client group or achieving their objective and they generally use volunteer staff in some way. Although they must comply with UK legislation, they are not under direct political control and cannot be controlled or adversely influenced by government.
